🐞 Ladybug Family — Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 18, 2026
Short version: Ladybug Family has no accounts and does not collect your name, email, or any personal information you'd type in. Your progress and hearts live on your own device. If you join the worldwide Top Foragers board, the 3-letter initials and score you submit are shown publicly — that's the whole point, and it's the only thing you can publish. The site may show ads through Google AdSense.
Information we do NOT collect
Data stored on your device
The game saves the following in your browser's local storage only, so your progress survives between visits. It stays on your device except for the leaderboard submission described below:
- Your best food total and level progress
- Your banked hearts (lives) and the initials you last used
- An offline copy of the leaderboard, used only when the shared board is unreachable
Clearing your browser data removes all of this.
The worldwide leaderboard
Anonymous counters
When a fresh flight starts, the game sends a single anonymous signal to our server that increments
a global "games played" counter. It contains only the words ladybug-family — no personal
information and no device identifier. Completed purchases increment an equally anonymous sales
counter server-side. If the game ever crashes, it reports the error message (never anything about
you) so we can fix it.
Purchases
Optional heart packs at Ms. Lady's Flower Stand are processed by Stripe on Stripe's own checkout page — we never see or store your card details. See Stripe's privacy policy.
Ads
The site may show ads served by Google AdSense — including optional watch-a-video-for-hearts rewarded ads, which are never forced. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads, and depending on your settings and region those cookies may personalize ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, and read how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Beyond this we run no ad networks of our own.
Children's privacy
Ladybug Family is family-friendly, but because the site can serve general-audience ads it is not designed or directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us at the address below.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new date.
